Standing behind our Removal, Installations and Products we use
Technologies have come a long way resulting in manufacturers being able to make tanks that are resistant to corrosion by using polyethylene and manufacturing double-wall steel tanks. Fittings can now be mounted on top which helps to eliminate potential damage from being fitted at the bottom of the tank. Because we follow the industry installation guidelines, a new tank installed correctly and properly maintained can last for up to 50 years.
When choosing us as your home oil tank installation company, you can rest assured to know you’re getting the finest service, products, and warranties available. Why? Because we make sure you’re happy with our work and products. We only use the best names in the industry Granby and Roth. As certified Roth installers, we can provide you with some of the best options available for your new tank install. |
Roth has a seamless blow-molded inner tank of polyethylene, which is corrosion resistant and leak proof. The outside of the tank is manufactured with galvanized steel that is lock seamed then sealed with an oil and also provides a fire-resistant seal. The outside tank is made to protect the inner tank which offers a secondary containment that protects spills. A heating oil tank installation cost is a little more with the Roth double-wall tank. However, Roth tank gives a 10-year parts and equipment warranty. Their ability to give that warrantee is because Roth tank installers need to be Roth Certified, which we are.
Granby tanks that have been time tested are very high performance. Their time-tested steel construction tanks are now provided with polyurethane-based coatings that protect the tanks against corrosion and leaks. Granby’s warrantee for parts and equipment varies between 10-25 yrs. depending on the particular model you choose. When doing an oil storage tank installation with a Granby tank we follow their installation procedures to make sure you get the maximum usage. |
If you’re thinking of purchasing your own tank at a home supply store you may want to rethink it. The majority of those don’t usually last nearly as long (many under 10 years) and some of those tanks aren’t even built to today’s standards. You want to make sure that you do your proper research to know what you are buying.
Heating Oil Tank SizeA 275-gallon oil tank installation is what most homeowners get. We also handle and do 330 gallons and 400-gallon tanks. Usually, customers with bigger homes want a larger tank. When someone is looking to get a fuel oil tank installation in a garage it’s because of access being too small to get it into the basement. Often when installing oil tanks in the basement, they may have small doorways or sharp turns going into a stairway, they may want a low profile or smaller tank. You can increase your storage capacity by basically connecting multiple tanks together.

Local Heating Oil Tank Installation RegulationsMost local towns and cities require a permit from the fire departments to make sure that all the work is done properly to ensure that the new oil tank is installed to be environmentally safe. Most cities and town permit fees range from $50 to just over $100 with some not having any fees. We will acquire any permits that may be needed from your town or city. After the installation is completed some town or city officials may come to inspect it to make sure the work has been done properly.

Homeowners Fuel Oil Tank Insurance
In 2010, the state of Massachusetts passed a law that mandates insurance companies to offer home heating oil tank leak protection. It is an optional coverage that you need to apply for to get coverage. Should you apply for this coverage, there are requirements that you need to meet?

At Oil Tank Removal Pro, we install only Granby and Roth fuel oil tanks that meet the insurance companies’ requirements. If you’re adding optional insurance, please let us know and we’ll provide you with a letter for your insurance company to prove your compliance.
